The Wayzata High School Athletic Hall of Fame celebrated its inaugural induction class in 2024 and will now be honoring the 2026 Hall of Fame class in the fall of 2026. Its purpose is to recognize and honor the accomplishments of the inductees and develop pride in the rich athletic traditions of more than 100 years at Wayzata High School.
These athletes, coaches, and supporters have represented Wayzata with pride and have brought home some of the highest accolades possible in their sport. This recognition exemplifies Wayzata’s character and athletic excellence.
Nomination & Selection ProcessÂ
 Complete and submit the online Hall of Fame Nomination Application indicating which category you are nominating: Athlete, Coach, Trojan Award or W-Club. The deadline for submitting nominations for the 2026 Hall of Fame is May 30, 2026.
- The Selection Committee will meet to review all timely-received nominations and select candidates. Selections will be announced in June of even numbered years.
- New Hall of Fame Inductees will be notified by a member of the Selection Committee. A press release will be issued announcing the year’s inductees.
- Members will be inducted at a ceremony in the Fall of even numbered years. Each Inductee will be presented a Hall of Fame plaque during the induction ceremony. A duplicate plaque will be placed in the Hall of Fame display case in Wayzata High School.
Hall of Fame Candidate Categories
AthleteÂ
Any athlete who distinguished himself/herself in the field of athletics while a student at Wayzata High School above and beyond the normal standards.
- This may include, but is not limited to: establishing individual, sectional, Minnesota State High School league achievements including school records or championships; or selection to national, section, or league all-star team(s).
- Nominees must have graduated 10 years prior to eligibility.
Coach
- A former coach (head coach or assistant coach) with at least 10 years of service at Wayzata High School, who has contributed to the success of Wayzata High School athletes.
- Nominees must have retired from coaching the specific sport at Wayzata High School at least three years prior to nomination.
Trojan Award
The Trojan Award, recognizes the Wayzata alumni who has been notably successful in athletics after their high school graduation. They have accomplished outstanding achievement in participating/coaching collegiately or professionally.
W-Club – Honorary Wayzata Varsity Letterwinner
The W-Club, an Honorary Letterwinner Award, is given upon official action by the selection committee to persons or businesses who, in the opinion of the committee, have contributed significantly to the furtherance of Wayzata Athletics.

Selection Committee
- The Hall of Fame Selection Committee will consist of 8-10 voting members.
- Voting members are current or former coaches and athletic administrators at Wayzata High School.
