Girls Badminton is a new Minnesota State High School League sport for the 2025-26 school year. Please check back for more information. The season will begin March 2, 2026.

Description of sport:Â Competitive girls badminton consisting of varsity, JV, and a C Squad.
Season commitment:Â Tryouts begin March 2, 2026 and run through March 5. Season ends mid May. Practice and matches are four to five days per week with up to two matches per week. State tournament takes place week of May 11-15.
Eligibility requirements: Students in grades 9-12 who meet the MSHSL and Wayzata School District Eligibility Requirements.
Tryouts/Cuts: Yes
Costs and/or needed equipment:Â Participation fee, racket, indoor court shoes, and uniform shirt/shorts.
